Who we are:
The Pewter Run Celebrates the first fifty years of motorcycling in America. It is loosely patterned after two famous and long established "vintage" motorcycle events in the UK; The PIONEER RUN, an event for Pre-1915 motorcycles run by the Sunbeam M/C club" and the VMCC's BANBURY RUN, for Pre-1930 motorcycles.
The First event started and finished on the historic town common in
Hillsborough Center, New Hampshire. This very picturesque setting is in
the heart of rural New England with its many historic villages, fine
homes, old inns and winding country roads. The premiere "first of its
kind " AMA sanctioned event is organized and hosted by the United States
Classic Racing Association, Americas oldest vintage racing organization![]()

USCRA Builds a new Site for the Racing Circuit
Although we are a vintage organization, we must stay with the current times. One of the ways we need to do so is our websites.
So coming this month the race-USCRA website is getting an overhaul. This is long over due and we feel it's time.
One of the new features is the integrated search engine for all 3 USCRA divisional websites. We have delevoped an inhouse search engine to
allow you to search for your interest within the MotoGiro, Pewter Run and Race-USCRA. So take a look around and let us know what you think,

Last Sunday was the USCRA's Pewter Run. This is a road ride for pre-1950 (and some 'like design' post '50) motorcycles. I had done this a few times in the past on my '53 Moto Guzzi Airone Sport, which is substantially the same as when this model was revised in 1949, but it's apart at the moment awaiting my attention at the end of the racing season. But, Mark Gibson, founder of the Pewter Run, came to the rescue. He arranged a ride for me on Tony Lockwood's 1936 Excelsior Manxman 500.

I recently heard the date for the 2010 running of the Motorcycle Pewter Run in New Hampshire is tentatively scheduled for October 3, 2010. That is a week after the end of the Motorcycle Cannonball Run. So....if you like to ride old (pre-1950s) and mostly original bikes with others, and you are in the New England area the Pewter Run might be a good choice for you. It is a one day time distance event in the back roads of New Hampshire. I went last year with my 1924 Harley JD and and 1948 Harley Panhead and we had a blast. Sure hope I can make it back from California with my Motorcycle Cannonball bike in time (and assuming it is still in decent running condition after riding it across the US).
Jon Gibson - Gibson Pewter
The 6th Annual Pewter Run vintage motorcycle race took place here on Sunday, October 3. Thirty-one vintage (pre-1950) American and British bikes were entered in the race and enthusiasts from around the Northeast made the trip to Hillsborough Center to admire the vintage motorcycles, watch the race, and enjoy the cookout & awards cast by event supporter, Gibson Pewter.
